Privacy and policies

How IStudyPlanner handles uploaded material, service data, payments, refunds, and acceptable use.

Privacy policy

Information you provide

This may include study material, pasted notes, contact-form details, purchase information, and support messages. Do not upload sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information unless the service is specifically configured to protect it.

How information is used

Information is used to provide practice tests, process purchases, respond to support requests, protect the service, and improve reliability. Study material is not sold.

Current browser-based prototype

In the current version, PDF text extraction and question generation occur in the user's browser. The Pro preview status is stored in local browser storage. When a backend or external AI service is added, this policy must be updated to identify those providers and explain data retention.

Payments and service providers

Payment details should be collected by the selected payment processor, such as Stripe or PayPal, rather than directly by IStudyPlanner. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

Keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. Users may request access, correction, or deletion through the Contact page, subject to applicable law.

Security and children's privacy

Reasonable safeguards should be used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Before launch, define the minimum user age and obtain any consent required for younger users in the locations where the service operates.

Refund policy

Before launch, choose and publish a refund period that complies with the laws applicable to your customers. A suggested approach for a digital product is to review refund requests submitted within 14 days of purchase when the product is defective, was purchased accidentally, or cannot be accessed.

Refund requests should include the checkout email and receipt ID. Approved refunds should be returned to the original payment method. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Cookie and local-storage policy

The prototype uses local browser storage to remember the Pro preview. Essential storage may be used for preferences and security. If analytics, advertising, or non-essential cookies are added, introduce an appropriate consent mechanism and list each provider here.

Acceptable-use policy

  • Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.
  • Do not use the service to create harmful, unlawful, deceptive, or abusive content.
  • Do not probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access and payment controls.
  • Do not present generated questions as professionally verified educational or legal advice.
